About
Welcome! I am glad you found my blog. I hope you find it interesting and you gain some information you can use. I will start by telling you a little bit about me. I have been married to my wonderful husband for almost 12 years. We met after college at our place of work. He moved on to another company but I continued to work there for 10 years.
When we had our daughter we decide I would be a stay at home mom. I had no idea at the time what that truly meant. If you are a stay at home mom that left a carrier you loved, you know what I mean. It is the right decision for my family but there are days I would love to be back at my desk job.
My change in carrier from hard working woman to over worked mom meant I traded in my suits for jeans and t-shirts. (I will never trade in my high heels!) It also meant giving up the paycheck, vacation days, bonuses and business travel. Did I mention the PAY CHECK!!!!!
Cutting our family income in half while adding a new little lady to our house created a whole new set of challenges. I love to shop and my daughter has inherited the same shopping gene. However, now I am doing it on a much tighter budget. This means getting creative when I want something new.
I am not a very creative person by nature. I can stand at my closet door and think I wish I knew what would go with this scarf or stand in my hall and wonder what the perfect item is to hang on that empty wall. In an effort of spur my little bit of creative juice, I read magazines and watch TV. It is amazing what great little ideas you can find. Many of them you can do under a very tight budget.
This blog will be a place where I can share the ideas I collect from all different types of sources. I hope you find it interesting and return often for more ideas. Please feel free to comment and give ideas of your own.
Happy Shopping!
